Fenestria - Latin for "window" - is a clear window into music, acoustic systems like no other, so transparent that they transmit all the energy of the musical performance, disappearing completely from the scene, leaving the performers alone with the listener.
Acoustic systems can enhance sound. It is easy to make them do so. It is difficult to achieve the opposite - complete non-intrusion. The experience of advanced developments, unique equipment, engineering skill, and the concept of each element contributing to the whole. Electroacoustics is an applied area where science and art go hand in hand. PMC (Professional Monitor Company) is responsible for science, and let the listeners appreciate the art.
In collaboration with the National Physical Laboratory NPL, we have developed a unique process of opto-acoustic matrixing. By using a laser as a sensor for acoustic vibrations, we create a three-dimensional map of the sound radiation of the acoustic system - and see the contribution of each detail to the overall picture. PMC Fenestria sets a new standard for live and natural sound at any volume level.
PMC fact Fenestria Tiger Ebony is a set of two 3-way loudspeaker systems developed by PMC as a representative of the Fact series. The acoustic design of the speaker cabinets is presented by the company's signature Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) technology.
The cabinet houses four 165mm bass drivers with woven carbon fiber diaphragms. The implementation of ATL technology includes equipping each speaker with two 2.4m-long labyrinthine channels with partitions lined with soundproofing material, ensuring clean and realistic bass sound.
Additionally, the speaker system is equipped with one 75mm midrange driver with a soft dome and a 19.5mm dome tweeter made from SONOMEX material. Frequency response range: 23 Hz - 25 kHz. The built-in crossover divides frequencies at 380/3800 Hz. The cabinet is finished with Tiger Ebony wood veneer.
