The Numark Scratch is a professional two-channel DJ mixer that offers DJs all the necessary functions for effective scratching, playback, and blending of tracks, as well as several options for exciting and impactful performances. It is fully compatible with Serato DJ Pro software, as well as various DVS systems and media players.
The mixer is equipped with high-quality 24-bit AD/DA converters with a 48 kHz sampling frequency, allowing for a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with minimal noise and distortion. It features two RCA inputs capable of accepting Line and Phono signals, with mode selection controlled by a switch. Balanced and unbalanced outputs are provided for audio output to the speaker system, with XLR and RCA connectors, respectively.
Additionally, there is a Booth monitor output also on an RCA connector. An external microphone can be connected to the Combo Jack/XLR input. There is also a headphone output available, with 1/8" Jack TRS and 1/4" Jack TRS connectors. Connection to a computer is via a USB-B port, with power supplied from the mains.
Each channel includes gain controls, a 3-band EQ, low/high-pass filter, and 8 illuminated performance pads that can operate in three modes: Cue, Loop, and Roll. A 5-segment LED indicator displays channel volume, with a section for controlling volume and tone color from the microphone input. Switches are provided for using physical and virtual decks. The mixer includes a built-in 32-bit DSP processor offering six effects, including three delays, reverb, phaser, and flanger.
Balance can be adjusted from clean to fully processed. Two switches allow for effects processing only when held, and two Instant Loop encoders enable quick creation of short loops. These features can add dynamics and expression to performances. For scratching and deck switching, a high-quality Innofader crossfader is included with two envelope shapes and a reverse function.
