Mytek Digital Brooklyn AMP is a benchmark stereo power amplifier of class D, built on a "dual mono" scheme, capable of delivering 300 watts at 4 ohms.
Features:
- Frequency range: 10 Hz - 30 kHz
- Signal-to-noise ratio (A-weighted): 121 dB
- Gain: 23 dB / 29 dB
- Protective circuits: from short circuit, from DC, from low voltage, from overload, in case of temperature rise
The amplifier has the signature Mytek sound - musical, detailed, and transparent. It is designed for use as a standalone power amplifier or as an addition to the Brooklyn DAC for a complete modern digital streaming and vinyl playback system. Mytek engineers, together with leading designer Michal Jurewicz, have demonstrated that a carefully crafted class D can sound like a triode, with excellent midrange and depth, while retaining deep bass, fast transient response, and detail. This project leveraged Mytek's extensive experience in DSD technology, similar to digital amplifiers.
At the back, in addition to XLR and RCA connectors and speaker outputs, there is also a block of two-position switches, which can be used to determine active inputs (balanced or unbalanced) and set the amplifier mode (stereo, mono for bi-amping speaker connection, or bridged mono mode). You can also increase the gain by 6 dB, enable trigger signal activation, and update firmware via the USB port using a PC.
