The KC62 subwoofer is a versatile and highly effective device for enjoying music, movies, and video games. Despite its compact size, it delivers a powerful 1000-watt output, surpassing traditional subwoofer expectations.
Embedded within the built-in processor are signal processing algorithms that offer five presets to optimize the subwoofer's performance in any room placement. These presets ensure excellent sound quality regardless of whether the KC62 is positioned next to a wall, in a corner, inside a cabinet, or on an open platform. Additionally, there is a mode specifically designed to adjust to the room's characteristics.
With its linear high-frequency output, the KEF KC62 subwoofer can be seamlessly integrated with external active speakers like the popular KEF LS50 bookshelf monitors or wireless KEF LSX.
The KC62 utilizes Uni-Core technology, which consists of a dual-driver design with two sound coils of different diameters sharing a common center. This innovative design reduces the size of the enclosure by over a third while maintaining or surpassing the driver excursion of larger subwoofers.
The P-Flex Surround, also known as Origami Surround, is a specially designed diffuser with a folded (corrugated) surround. It effectively handles sound pressure inside the speaker enclosure without compromising sensitivity.
Smart Distortion Control technology reduces nonlinear distortion by measuring the current in the audio coil. This enables instant compensation for detected nonlinear distortion, similar to the principle of electro-mechanical feedback but without the need for special sensors.
