The KC62 subwoofer is versatile and equally effective for music listening, movie watching, or video gaming. With its 1000-watt power output, the KC62 surpasses the traditional expectations of what a subwoofer of its size can achieve.
The built-in processor includes signal processing algorithms and five preset room placement equalization options, allowing you to optimize the performance of the KEF KC62 regardless of where you place it in the room - whether it's next to a wall, in a corner, inside a cabinet, or on an open platform. There's also a mode for fine-tuning to suit your specific room characteristics.
The presence of a linear high-frequency output means that the KEF KC62 subwoofer can be used alongside external active speakers, such as the popular KEF LS50 bookshelf monitors or the wireless KEF LSX.
Uni-Core Technology
Uni-Core technology features a unique design with a dual-driver configuration. Two sound coils of different diameters share a common center and utilize a shared space inside the driver. Despite its smaller dimensions, Uni-Core technology allows for the same or greater driver excursion compared to much larger subwoofers that surpass the KC62 in size.
P-Flex Surround, or Origami Surround
P-Flex Surround technology, also known as Origami Surround, draws inspiration from the art of origami. This has led KEF engineers to create a diffuser with a folded (corrugated) surround. It effectively handles internal sound pressure within the speaker enclosure without sacrificing sensitivity.
Smart Distortion Control
Smart Distortion Control technology reduces nonlinear distortions utilizing a principle similar to electromechanical feedback systems. However, instead of using special sensors, it measures the current in the sound coil, enabling instantaneous compensation for any detected nonlinear distortions.
