The EU Schuko Furutech FI-50 NCF(R) connector is a high-quality next-generation connector from the popular Japanese brand Furutech. Japan has long been known for producing superior electrical equipment, and this product is no exception to that rule.
Features:
- Grounding system (for 3 conductors)
- Stainless steel housing
- Special coating - a cover made of innovative damping material - piezoceramic carbon powder, using a nanocrystalline formula in its manufacturing (NCF)
- Conductor shell - copper-rhodium coating
- Contact group material: pure alpha copper coated with rhodium
- Suitable for cables with conductors ranging from 6 to 20mm in diameter
- Conductor attachment system: under clamp (stainless steel screws)
- Recommended network load: up to 16 A / 250V
The abbreviation NCF, placed at the end of the name, means that the Nano Crystal Formula technology was used in the manufacturing of the connector. This is a completely new approach to creating damping material, based on nano-crystalline and piezoceramic powder. A material made from this composition is able to resist static electricity, producing negative ions and dissipating thermal energy, converting it into infrared. These unique features of this product do not end there, as it has many other special details, including superior technical characteristics.
The connector is equipped with a standard European power plug with two recesses for safety shutters. During the design process, engineers at Furutech surveyed famous Japanese audiophiles, and according to the data obtained, the material chosen for the housing was a special multilayer steel. It is rust-resistant and non-magnetic, and the cover made of silver-plated carbon fiber has damping and insulating properties, thanks to the presence of acetal copolymer. This housing reliably protects the internal device from moisture, does not wear out, and blends perfectly with surrounding objects.
To ensure high-quality transmission, designers went to great lengths, allowing them to incorporate another technology - the Ground Jumper System - into the connector. It is able to eliminate electromagnetic interference that can be induced in metal parts of the connector and cable over time. And a special conductor made of α (alpha) steel and coated with a layer of rhodium ensures a clean energy transmission without any external physical elements.
The electrical current flowing through the connector creates a magnetic field that can disrupt the purity of the transmission. To solve this problem, Furutech engineers found a brilliant solution - to install additional screws where the field is formed. As a result, during operation, only two small electromagnetic areas are created, concentrated around these screws, preventing the formation of a larger field, yet completely not affecting the purity of the transmission. In this way, the creators were able to overcome floating magnetic fields.
