4th Generation RP Driver
This product represents headphones equipped with a significantly updated RP driver with a flat diaphragm controlled by a full field, originally developed by Fostex. RP drivers have been used in various models and have been recognized by musicians and studio engineers worldwide as monitor headphones. The fourth-generation RP headphones are the next generation of RP headphones, utilizing the traditional RP driver and a new housing design that further enhances the flat diaphragm sound.
The planar magnetic RP drive technology, first developed over 50 years ago and constantly improved over the years, is now in its fourth generation. A new coil shape was used to expand and align the vibration zone of the flat diaphragm. In addition, the number of magnets connecting the membrane was significantly increased. Furthermore, the components of the magnetic circuit were redesigned to optimize the magnetic flux distribution, suppress unwanted resonances, and achieve even better transient characteristics.
The fourth-generation driver, developed using various technologies refined over many years, simultaneously provides increased sensitivity, smooth frequency response, and superior transient characteristics. Accurate and delicate reproduction of elements across the frequency spectrum has improved soundstage and localization. The new driver is also more efficient, requiring less energy from the headphone amplifier to achieve maximum performance.
Balanced Connection
Both the left and right housings are equipped with connectors for connecting the included cable, allowing the cable to be connected from either the left or right, depending on the operating conditions. Additionally, due to the symmetrical arrangement of the left and right housings, differences in sound characteristics that usually arise from differences in the internal construction of the side panels have been eliminated. The connector features a 3.5mm 4-pole connector that supports balanced connections, enhancing ease of use and versatility. High-quality OFC conductors are used in the cable.
Comfortable Ear Pads
The new, thicker ear pads have low elasticity and snugly fit the ear, providing a comfortable fit, making them comfortable for extended listening sessions.
