The Final Audio DX6000 are full-size wired headphones with a completely new, ultra-open sound field created by the "free air" technology where the transitional coil system produces amazingly clear high-definition sound.
Features:
- "Ultra-Open" Design: provides a realistic "sound field"
- Magnesium Alloy Diaphragm with Silicone Edge
- Ear Pads and Headband made of "Washi" Paper and Foam
- Transitional Coil System for Precise Response to Input Signals
- Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Body with Mechanical Processing
The Free Air technology provides sound similar to real speakers. In the DX6000, a new "free air structure" technology is used, combining an open sound field and low frequencies far surpassing regular open headphones. It delivers new musical experiences, blending natural, expansive sound resembling speaker output with delicate low frequencies allowing you to feel bass gradations.
Innovative Dynamic Driver with Foam Silicone Edge
The dynamic-type diaphragm material used in this new driver is a magnesium alloy with high rigidity and internal losses, inhibiting unwanted vibration and resonance. The design development for the edge of this driver took several years to ensure resonance suppression within a specific frequency range.
Additionally, a foam silicone resin was used for the driver edge. By exploiting the advantages of foam material's lightness, the edge's thickness was increased. This material simultaneously lightweight, soft, and dense, resolving contradictions related to mobility and preventing unwanted resonance.
Moreover, to facilitate precise diaphragm movement, the terminal wire of the sound coil was routed through the air rather than glued to the edge. This method prevents wire breakage and exhibits motion without obstruction, using a proprietary aluminum alloy wire for the coil.
Transitional Coil System for Accurate Response to Input Signals
The Final Audio developed the Transitional Coil System to address issues like low-frequency range reduction due to fully open ventilation systems in control units and ear cups. By reducing the minimum resonant frequency significantly, lighter diaphragm system vibrations were retained while diminishing high-frequency sound pressure. This results in open sound fields, ample low frequencies, sharp sound fluctuations, and smoother transitions.
The coil system provides a nominal resistance of 47 ohms at 1 kHz, increasing to 480 ohms at 20 kHz. Hence, it is recommended to use these headphones with a sufficiently powerful stationary amplifier rather than a portable device.
Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Body with Mechanical Processing
The headphones' body is crafted from a solid piece of aluminum-magnesium alloy through precision cutting for reliable driver support and minimal unwanted resonance and sound distortions.
Open-Type Ear Pads with "Washi" Paper Material
The DX6000 have an extremely low minimum resonant frequency, allowing the driver itself to reproduce low frequencies sufficiently even with loosely fitting ear pads. Designed with proprietary materials, the open-type ear pads use special fabric made from "Washi" paper for a dry and durable surface texture, along with foam with excellent ventilation. The headband is also made from a moisture-resistant material with high strength.
Signature OFC Slim Cable
For the DX series, Final Audio developed a new lightweight OFC slim cable. The DX6000 comes with a 3-meter cable with an XLR connector.
Sturdy Carrying Case
The headphones can be securely stored in a small, convenient semi-hard case, perfect for transportation.
