Description

Vocals at the Heart of the Performance

EarAcoustic Genesis MiX9 Vocals at the Heart of the Performance

The GENESIS MiX9 places the voice at the centre of the listening experience. Part of EarAcoustic’s Elysian Fields collection, these wired in-ear monitors are tuned to bring out the texture, warmth and expression that make a vocal performance memorable. Their presentation combines a full bass foundation with a detailed midrange and airy treble, giving singers a clear place within the instrumental arrangement. The contrasting black and orange design adds a distinctive visual character to this music-focused model.

Nine Drivers, Three Complementary Technologies

EarAcoustic Genesis MiX9 Nine Drivers, Three Complementary Technologies

Each earpiece combines nine drivers in a three-way hybrid configuration: one 8.3 mm dynamic driver, four balanced-armature drivers and four micro-planar drivers. Its nine-driver hybrid design gives bass, vocals and treble dedicated acoustic roles. Electronic crossover components work alongside acoustic chambers and individual sound tubes to coordinate the driver groups, helping their outputs blend into a coherent presentation.

The dynamic driver uses a titanium dome, a composite surround, dual magnetic circuits and a dual-cavity structure. Responsible for bass and lower-midrange reproduction, it is designed to give drums weight and bass lines definition while preserving space for the vocal performance.

Expressive Midrange and Airy Treble

EarAcoustic Genesis MiX9 Expressive Midrange and Airy Treble

Two dual balanced-armature modules handle the central vocal range, focusing on articulation, tonal density and the small changes in phrasing that convey emotion. Two dual micro-planar modules extend the upper frequencies, reproducing instrumental harmonics, cymbal decay and the ambience around a recording.

EarAcoustic’s pop-oriented tuning brings these elements together with an emphasis on warm voices, supportive bass and smooth treble. Rather than making every detail equally prominent, the intended balance keeps the performance flowing naturally. The specified frequency response spans 20 Hz–20 kHz.

Sculpted Housings with Metal Faceplates

EarAcoustic Genesis MiX9 Sculpted Housings with Metal Faceplates

Precision-moulded ABS housings support the MiX9’s complex internal acoustic assembly. Their rounded contours are hand-finished and covered with a smooth coating for comfortable contact with the ear. CNC-machined metal faceplates add a diamond-cut finish that catches the light, complementing the black and orange colour scheme.

Inside, the cavity geometry has been developed using acoustic simulation to help manage unwanted reflections and standing waves. This attention to both internal structure and external shape connects the MiX9’s acoustic design with its everyday wearability.

Detachable Balanced Connection

EarAcoustic Genesis MiX9 Detachable Balanced Connection

The supplied 1.2 m cable uses silver-plated, high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors in a shielded Litz coaxial construction. Detachable 0.78 mm two-pin connections make cable replacement straightforward, while the 4.4 mm balanced plug connects to compatible audio players and DAC/headphone amplifiers.

Rated at 12 ohms with a sensitivity of 107 dB, the MiX9 offers a low-impedance design for a dedicated portable listening setup. A serial-number card adds an individual identifying detail to the presentation.

In the box:

  • EarAcoustic GENESIS MiX9 earphones,
  • detachable silver-plated OFC cable with a 4.4 mm balanced plug,
  • ear tips in two styles, each supplied in S, M and L sizes,
  • large protective carrying case,
