The small caliber of the drivers allowed the front panel to be as narrow as possible, which is not only useful for the sound (minimizing early reflections), but also beautiful - such speakers do not disturb the interior. Fabric grills covering the entire front panel are magnetically attached. The TW28LD tweeter was designed specifically for the Courbet series. The 28mm diameter fabric dome is impregnated with a damping compound and the reinforced magnet system has air channels to cool the voice coil.
The top of the system includes a 1-inch soft dome tweeter with ferromagnetic liquid cooled suspension. This provides high detail and accuracy of high frequencies, as well as wide dispersion of sound.
The rear radiation of the dome is channeled into a tapered waveguide, which suppresses resonance peaks. The midrange, with its long cone travel, gives them body and the sound as a whole drive and dynamics. At the same time, the sound can not be called boring or too neutral - it is moderately lively, with rich timbres and clear, chopped rhythm. The five-inch (13 cm) midrange has a Kevlar cone. Kevlar is also a fabric, only much stronger than carbon fiber (we all know about body armor) and lightweight. The same heads are used as midbass heads in the Olympia One Master shelf monitors, which won the prestigious Golden Kammerton award two years ago.
The Courbet speaker cabinet is made of high quality plywood with internal spacers to minimize vibrations and resonances. It has a stylish and elegant design that suits any interior.
