The main idea behind Concept Signature remains as focused and user-friendly as its predecessor since all individual components are already perfectly tuned at the factory.
The turntable base is made of medium-density fiberboard or, optionally, solid wood bonded under high pressure. The top layer of the turntable is made of special matte plastic. This composition minimizes resonance and ensures a perfect aesthetic appearance.
The support disc is driven by a polished flat belt from a DC motor, minimizing interference transmission. A powerful, high-stability external power supply handles the voltage supply. The new control technology with built-in automatic calibration, new tuning options, and additional speed control (TSC) provides even higher-quality measurements in terms of uniformity and impulse stability.
The completely new tachometer speed control system constantly monitors the speed and provides real-time feedback to the control electronics. This allows it to immediately react to changing factors such as belt tension reduction, support disc friction, or temperature fluctuations. Additionally, TSC performs automatic calibration at each restart. Thanks to the new design of Concept Signature, manual recalibration with a single button press on the rear panel of the turntable is also possible.
Several isolator rings (IMS) enhance the motor suspension, separated from the chassis, a modified version borrowed from the reference model Jubilee. At the same time, the new encoder serves as the basis for even more features of future generations and expansion stages. In terms of design, the concept stands out from the crowd. The redesigned surface with a backlit touch controller provides intuitive control of the turntable and sets new design accents.
The wide selection of Clearaudio tonearms and cartridges leaves nothing to be desired in terms of modularity. Perfect combinations for the Concept Signature player include all MM cartridges, all MC cartridges from Concept MC to Talisman V2 Gold, as well as all tonearms from Concept to Profiler. Additionally, it is recommended to use the Concept Clamp, a specially designed acrylic cover, and the nano phono V2/smart phono V2 phono preamplifier or one of the two advanced power sources - Professional Power 12V/smart power 12V from Clearaudio.
