The CT-S1000V is an instrument that makes you rethink the classic perception of keyboard instruments and how they are played. The instrument allows you to create a vocal line in performance as easily as if you were singing a song yourself. During play on the keyboard instrument, the lyrics are sung in sequence, creating a vocal line.
You can also change the voice timbre, add and adjust effects in real time while playing, and use your creative abilities. In addition, you get 800 timbres at your disposal, including the ADVANCED TONES collection, which allows you to use the AiX sound source in a new form of musical expression, and the CASIO CLASSIC TONES, which are based on the classic sounds of Casio keyboard instruments.

The CT-S1000V includes 100 pre-installed lyrics to help you get started, but the real joy of use comes when creating and saving your own song lyrics in a special application. The instrument features 22 preset vocal timbres (vocalists), each with its own distinctive feature. Control each vocalist using the front control panel to select age, gender, vibrato, and much more. There are also other settings available to create a unique vocal. Parameters such as maximum sound, modulation, effects, arpeggiator, and the restart function are also available, allowing quick execution of key presses in sequence while holding a key.
With the Lyric Creator app, you can enter your own song lyrics, provide detailed pronunciation information (for English and Japanese languages), and create sequences that can be used to create compositions. You can even create your own vocalist based on any audio data. Enjoy a completely new sound that is impossible to achieve using traditional sound sources. Two modes are available: phrase mode and note mode. The phrase mode is recommended for experimenting and improvising when developing ideas. Song lyrics are combined with your instrument playing so you can enjoy realistic playback. The note mode allows you to move one syllable at a time when pressing keys on the instrument.
The CT-S1000V features a wide range of built-in effects - a total of 100, including compressor, phaser, distortion, and wah.
You can apply chains of four different effects to any timbre, and thanks to Casio's active COS effects, you can adjust effect parameters on the front panel control for dynamic real-time adjustments. In addition, there are system-wide chorus, delay, and reverb effects.
The flexibility of effects is also noteworthy - you can configure independent effect chains for each timbre used in layering or splitting, or timbres used for melody and accompaniment. Moreover, timbres can be smoothly switched, as the effect from the previous timbre will sound more natural if there is no abrupt cutoff. Thanks to this attention to detail, the CT-S1000V is a true embodiment of musical expression.
The CT-S1000V is equipped with two built-in speakers that provide amazing sound thanks to Casio's unique Horizontal Bass-Reflex system, capable of reproducing powerful low-frequency sound.
The Surround Sound feature adds width and depth to the sound, while the Volume Sync Equalizer volume correction function ensures tonal balance is maintained when adjusting the volume, providing additional depth even when playing at low volume. Overall, the CT-S1000V provides high-quality sound despite its compact size.
The sampling capability of the CT-S1000V model means you can import your own sounds from a smart device for use as a unique Sampling Melody Tone or Sampling Drum Tones timbres.
When imported as a Melody Tone timbre, the sound can be played as high notes, while a sound imported as Drum Tones timbres can be set to replace individual drum sounds. For the Melody Tone timbre, the maximum sampling time is around 10 seconds, and around three seconds for each Drum Tone timbre. Experiment with different types of sounds, such as your own voice or sounds around you, and then add effects and control parameters in real time using the active COS function. Standard audio output jacks are ideal for connecting to keyboard amplifiers, mixers, or other recording or live performance equipment. The built-in speakers can be disabled if necessary. Connection to other MIDI-compatible equipment is supported, allowing you to use the CT-S1000V as a sound source with MIDI control or as a MIDI controller. The CT-S1000V can be used as a Bluetooth speaker for a smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth audio. Using the CT-S1000V with a dedicated app expands capabilities with functions such as melody/accompaniment cancellation, pitch adjustment, and timbre adjustment, perfect for playing along with favorite songs or improving ear-playing skills.
