The Bowers & Wilkins 804 D5 model combines the benchmark craftsmanship of the 800 Diamond series with a more traditional floor-standing speaker design.
The 804 D5 model, ideal for those who want captivating listening experiences in a smaller footprint, features a diamond dome tweeter located on top of the iconic tweeter housing for astonishing high frequency reproduction accuracy. This is complemented by the Continuum cone housed in a brand-new aluminum midrange enclosure, as well as two Aerofoil bass drivers rigidly mounted in a reverse-wound enclosure. Mounted on a redesigned plinth with adjustable mass damping, the 804 D5 reproduces sound clarity with breathtaking accuracy. Available in Stealth Black, Warm White, Light Walnut, and Dark Walnut colors with Connolly leather finish, the 804 D5 looks and sounds stunning.
Optimized for the best performance characteristics

All models of the new Diamond series 800 lineup feature enhanced technologies. The improved Matrix design reduces resonance and creates a more realistic soundstage, while the aluminum spatial frame mounts and the completely new aluminum upper section of the enclosure provide even more immersive and captivating sound.
Diamond dome tweeter

Combining the most advanced and innovative speaker technology, the 803 D5 delivers the cleanest sound in the world. The diamond dome tweeter increases the breakup frequency to 70 kHz, providing exceptional purity, accuracy, and openness.
Continuum cone
Thanks to its composite Continuum construction, sharp behavioral changes that can degrade speaker performance are avoided. The result is a more open, neutral sound that provides accuracy and transparency in vocal and instrument reproduction.
Optimized mid-range and bass driver

With improved drivers based on the renowned Signature series, the new bass/midrange and midrange drivers in all new Diamond D5 series 800 models deliver cleaner sound with low distortion levels for a more precise and expressive presentation.
Mid-range assembly
Each floor-standing 800 Diamond series speaker is equipped with a special mid-range diaphragm incorporating four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: Continuum cone, FST, biomimetic suspension, and mid-range decoupling to minimize interference from the speaker's bass drivers.
Biomimetic suspension
Sometimes, unconventional thinking is needed to make a breakthrough. For years, engineers believed that nothing could improve the sound of the famous aramid mid-range diaphragms until the Continuum technology proved them wrong. Engineers have now turned their attention to another important element of the speaker cone - the fabric spider. Biomimetic suspension revolutionizes the mid-range cone's characteristics, significantly reducing unwanted air pressure and coloration that a conventional fabric spider can create. The result? Mid-range transparency that you wouldn't believe is possible.
Enhanced Matrix technology

The Matrix mounting system uses interconnected panels to strengthen the internal walls of the speaker enclosures in all directions, reducing resonance and creating a more realistic soundstage. Each Diamond model in the new 800 series features an enhanced matrix design combining robust plywood construction with aluminum mounts to reinforce key load-bearing points.
Flow-optimized enclosure
Unlike flat speakers with curved backs, the 800 Diamond series enclosures have a continuous curved design fixed in place by a sturdy aluminum stand. The fewer joints provide a stiffer and more inert construction, while the curved front panel reduces interference around the driver units. This improves sound dispersion and reduces cabinet reflections.
Spatial frame mounting
As an additional enhancement to the extremely rigid 800 Diamond series enclosure, the new D5 models feature aluminum guides on the back panel of each enclosure for spatial frame mounting. These highly rigid structures further protect the enclosure from unwanted mechanical vibrations, creating an even more spacious and immersive soundstage.
Adjustable mass damping upgraded plinth

The aluminum plinths of all Diamond series 800 floor-standing speaker models feature a limited-layer damping system and dampers with adjustable mass, individually optimized for the mechanical resonances of each individual driver. This reduces unwanted cabinet coloration and provides a cleaner low-frequency output.
Modernized crossover
The 800 series uses modernized crossovers mounted on rigid aluminum spikes. This isolates sensitive capacitors from unwanted air pressure inside the enclosure, creating a highly efficient radiator for optimal performance.
