DT 880 PRO is a benchmark semi-open studio model that combines the transparency and detail of open headphones with the powerful and assertive sound of closed ones. The specially designed housing and improved system equalization have turned this remake of the studio classic DT 880 into the perfect monitoring headphones with uncolored analytical sound.
A balanced reduction of external noise guarantees perfect and lifelike sound, while the full frequency range is reproduced in minute detail from the lowest bass to the highest frequencies. The bass of DT 880 PRO is voluminous, but does not overshadow the rest of the soundstage.
The analytical and complementary well-balanced midrange frequencies do not dominate. The high frequencies of the headphones are crystal clear, non-fatiguing to the ears, and impressive with their smooth and harmonious sound. The new headband construction is suitable for any head size and, along with the soft velour earpads, guarantees comfort even during long hours of studio work.

History of Beyerdynamic DT 770/880/990 headphones:
The legendary DT 770/880/990 series dates back to 1981 when the DT 880 model was released, being the first dynamic headphones with electrostatic characteristics. Following suit, in 1985, the DT 770 and DT 990 models were introduced, completing the series and providing the market with maximum flexibility and the choice of closed (DT 770), semi-open (DT 880), and open (DT 990) headphones. The first versions of these headphones had a plastic headband, durable but not as much as required. In the early 1990s, the first professional models (PRO) were introduced, featuring a spring steel headband, aluminum forks, and an extremely reliable ABS plastic housing. Subsequently, this Beyerdynamic line took the world by storm. Today, headphones from the DT 770/880/990 models can be found everywhere: in recording studios, live broadcasts, as well as in the homes of music lovers and audiophiles.
