Arturia KeyStep Pro Chroma is an updated 37-key MIDI controller and multi-channel polyphonic sequencer in a stylish dark gray finish with blue LEDs and a new knob design.

The device has received a new firmware version 2.5 (also available for free on original keyboards), allowing users to customize the colors of the track control buttons; send program changes for each pattern and MIDI track, fix the transpose function, use the quick changes parameter in settings for a specific track by pressing Shift and the track number, as well as define a fixed key press and start note speed.
In other respects, the KeyStep Pro Chroma retains all the functions of the original controller sequencer with a variety of connection options, providing deep control over both software and hardware instruments, including four independent polyphonic sequencer tracks and connectivity options like MIDI, CV, and USB port.
The controller allows you to work simultaneously with modular blocks, external synthesizers, and software studios. The 4 independent polyphonic sequencer tracks provide full control over the instruments.
Track 1 can also function as a 16-channel drum sequencer. The sequencer has intuitive control and extensive connectivity options. The controller features a 3-octave keyboard with velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, as well as 16 pads. There are a total of 4 independent sequencers available, controlling any synthesizer, module, or drum machine. The sequencer offers 16 patterns per track. Each sequencer pattern can have a length of up to 64 steps and contain 16 notes per step.
You can also link up to 16 patterns together to create complete songs or parts of your set. The Scene mode allows you to take snapshots of all sequences in a pattern and instantly switch between sets of sequences. The controller makes it easy to load, duplicate, customize, edit, and save sequences for later use in the controller's built-in memory.
The controller has extensive connectivity options. There are 4 separate instrument outputs (CV, Gate, Mod), as well as 8 separate drum gate outputs. There is also 1 MIDI input and 2 MIDI outputs, a USB port, sustain pedal input, and Clock synchronization. The package also includes a USB cable and power adapter.
