Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig is a flagship USB audio interface that supports 24-bit / 192kHz.
Features:
- 16 balanced inputs
- Supports 24-bit 192kHz
- Headphone support up to 600 ohms
- ADAT I/O ports for expanding up to 32 channels
- Built-in USB hub for connecting additional equipment
AudioFuse 16Rig is designed to connect a large number of audio devices, synthesizers, and equipment, and centrally manage them. The sound card supports complex live sound routing scenarios, allowing for more efficient signal redirection in the studio and on stage.
The model is equipped with 16 balanced analog inputs on a 1/4" TRS connector. Two of them are built on a combined XLR/TRS connector and feature a digital microphone preamplifier, +48V phantom power support, and an attenuator. It is noted that the first two inputs operate in Hi-Z mode - allowing for recording electric guitars and basses without any limitations.
According to the specifications, the third and fourth inputs can work not only with a 1/4" TRS cable but also with a 1/8" TRS (mini-jack). Inputs 1-4 can be reassigned, allowing them to serve as front panel or rear panel connectors.
The total number of outputs is 12. For audio output, there are eight balanced linear channels on 1/4" TRS connectors (DC Coupled). A separate output section is dedicated to connecting a pair of monitors and headphones, supporting up to 600 ohms.
In addition to the analog outputs, the model also features dual ADAT I/O connectors. Connecting an external additional interface will increase the number of channels by 16 (at 48kHz) or 8 (at 96kHz). For MIDI connectivity, there are MIDI In and two MIDI Out/Thru ports on a standard DIN connector (5-pin).
The audio interface is connected via a USB-C cable, and it operates on the USB 2.0 protocol. The front panel of the interface also includes a USB hub (USB 2.0) for connecting additional equipment and devices. AudioFuse 16Rig allows recording signals with a sample rate of up to 192kHz and a bit depth of up to 24 bits, with a dynamic range of 117 dB.
The microphone inputs provide an input impedance around 2.7 kΩ, with a maximum input signal level of +22 dB (rel.). The preamps deliver up to +55 dB of gain or up to +35 dB of gain when the attenuator is activated. The equivalent noise level is -129.5 dB.
Included with the device is the AudioFuse control center software that manages the interface's operation. The center includes a software mixer for signal routing, input and output control section, as well as presets and settings section. The latter allows you to save your own sound routing schemes and recall them in a few clicks.
