AlphaTheta SLAB is a compact MIDI pad controller created in close partnership with Serato for controlling the Serato Studio program.
The device offers an intuitive layout: 16 velocity-sensitive and pressure-sensitive RGB pads for finger drumming, a precise step sequencer with manual grid editing and swing control, as well as a large central encoder for fast library navigation, deck scrolling, and sample slicing. On the right side, there is a 13-centimeter touch strip for expressive control of filters, effects, pitch bend, or real-time note repeat.
Four encoders at the top support mode switching for instant control of the equalizer, Pad FX effects, and adjusting the volume of isolated audio stems (Stems Level - vocals, melody, bass, drums). In addition to native integration with the Serato ecosystem (Studio, Sample, DJ Pro), the device features a universal MIDI mode. It allows flexible mapping of controls to work in third-party DAWs such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, or Logic Pro. The compact housing is powered via USB Type-C.
