Use any of the six microphone capsules: X/Y, shock-mounted X/Y, Mid-Side, shotgun mic, stereo shotgun - each providing unique capabilities for recording. You can capture your live performances, work on sound design, and record dialogue for your film with the SSH-6 stereo shotgun. Swapping microphone capsules on the U-44 is as easy as changing lenses on modern cameras.
Inputs and Outputs
The portable U-44 audio interface features a wide array of inputs and outputs, ensuring you are ready for any type of recording or live performance organization. Two combo inputs with independent gain control knobs and full-color level indicators provide all the flexibility you need for connecting microphones, keyboards, and mixers. Phantom power can be supplied to inputs 1 and 2. Additionally, input 1 is a Hi-Z input allowing connection of electric and bass guitars and other passive musical instruments. The MIDI I/O connector enables synchronization with devices such as electronic keyboards, controllers, synthesizers, or modules/samplers.
As for outputs, you have a variety of options, including a 1/4-inch output, RCA, and S/PDIF, allowing you to connect DJ mixers, speakers, and more. Easily monitor your mixes with a dedicated headphone output with independent volume control. The direct monitoring knob allows you to balance between the input signal and the playback signal when listening through headphones, perfect for live performance of electronic music and DJ sets.

During live performances, you can create a balanced mix in your headphones between cue and main outputs, while DJs can perfectly balance dry and processed signals.
