The Zoom Q8n-4K is a versatile portable recorder combined with a video camera capable of shooting video in UHD 4K format. The recorder supports high-quality recording of up to 4 channels simultaneously. The device can be used for recording as well as live streaming, suitable for sound engineers, videographers, podcasters, and directors. Musicians will also find the camera useful for high-quality performance recording.
On the compact camera body, there is a detachable X/Y stereo microphone. For connecting additional sources, such as a signal from a mixer, there are two balanced XLR inputs on the side of the body. Above them are two signal input sensitivity controls.
For monitoring the signal through headphones, there is a 1/8" Jack TRS line output nearby. With the wide-angle F2.8/150º lens, recording video with five customizable field of view options and brightness adjustment is possible. Video recording is available in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second. The camera features a built-in LCD display that can be rotated for selfie mode.
The Zoom Q8n-4K can easily be connected to computers for streaming on various platforms. The automatic mode helps optimize the picture for specific lighting conditions, and there are presets available for adjustment. The display also includes a peak level volume input meter. The Zoom Q8n-4K can operate on the built-in rechargeable battery or via USB bus power. Data is recorded on SD cards up to 512GB in size. With the separately available BTA-1 adapter, remote adjustment and recording on mobile devices with Android or iOS operating systems is possible using the proprietary app. The recorder also supports additional optional interchangeable capsules: XYH-8n, XAH-8, VRH-8, MSH-6, SSH-6, SGH-6.
