The Yamaha YH-L700A are over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation, support for spatial sound, rotating ear cups, and adjustable headband.
The headphones feature 40mm drivers, providing a frequency range from 8 Hz to 40 kHz when connected through a wire. For wireless use, they support Bluetooth 5.0 and AAC and aptX Adaptive codecs. The active noise cancellation eliminates external noise without affecting the quality of the music being played. Transparency mode can be activated with the press of a button.
The standout feature of these headphones is the 3D Sound Field technology, which converts stereo sound into immersive 360-degree audio. Different presets are available for 3D audio, including "Movie", "Music Video", "Audio Room", "Live Sound Outdoors", and "Concert Hall". The 3D Sound Field is compatible with both iOS and Android devices and can create immersive sound from virtually any source, according to the company. Sound processing is handled by the headphones themselves.
With ANC enabled, the headphones offer up to 34 hours of battery life on a single charge. Charging with the included cable takes approximately 3 hours. However, using the 3D Sound Field feature significantly reduces battery life, bringing total listening time (with ANC on) down to 11 hours.
