Even though the NS-F160 has 3 speakers, it is still a 2-way speaker. Two 16 cm (6.5") low-frequency speakers deliver smooth sound (no dips) over a wide range, while a standard tweeter (3 cm) completes the frequency spectrum in the high register. It is this type of speaker system device that provides sound from 30 to 36,000 Hz. It is worth noting the presence of magnetic protection, which allows the speaker to be installed in close proximity to other types of equipment (TVs, amplifiers, etc.)
The sound of Yamaha NS-F160 has a pronounced cinematic character. The treble and upper bass are emphasized, which is usually done by sound directors in the movies themselves for the sake of sound picture effect.
The rated power of the speaker is 50 watts, and the peak load can be 300 watts. The NS-F160 is therefore ideal for organizing stereo sound in 2.0/2.1 format. It can also be used as a front speaker in multi-channel systems.
The speaker cabinet is designed in the shape of a rectangular column. The exterior finish of the NS-F160 looks like natural wood. The model is available in two cabinet colors: Black and Rosewood.
