Can a compact hybrid amplifier with affordable pricing but with the corresponding quality of the Vincent brand be set up? Many have asked this question, many have requested to see it in practice. The engineers of the company pondered and responded by developing the "popular" amplifier - Vincent SV-500.
Features:
- tubes used: 1 x 12AX7, 2 x 6N1;
- frequency range 20 Hz - 20000 Hz;
- signal-to-noise ratio: 90 dB;
- harmonic distortion ratio 0.1%;
- headphone connection: 6.3 mm.
The successful integrated amplifier SV-227 was taken as the basis for the new "mini" hybrid amplifier. Vincent SV-500 resembles its older brother not only in appearance, but also in the circuit design. The only significant change is the set of tubes used. The audio signal at the input goes through the preamplification stages on two 6N1 tubes and one 12AX7, with power amplification handled by four Toshiba output transistors.
The power supply of the new model features a different power transformer - a 110 W toroidal, with two 20,000 µF capacitors used in the smoothing filter. Vincent SV-500 is equipped with four analog inputs (RCA connectors) and two digital inputs (RCA and optical). It also has an adjustable preamplifier output (for example, for connecting a subwoofer) and a record output. The stylish external appearance is complemented by a sleek aluminum remote control.
In terms of sound quality, the "mini" amplifier surpasses others - regardless of its size. The tube preamplification stages of Vincent SV-500 provide warmth and naturalness in reproduction. The transistor output adds power and scale, and thanks to the high-capacity power supply, the sound is not restricted in dynamics.
