Recently, Universal Audio released LUNA - their own free recording software based on Apollo DSP technology. While UAD plugins are compatible with other DAWs, UA notes that only they know how to optimize the performance of their plugins and the DAW itself, as well as correctly link them with Universal Audio interfaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
