The Transrotor ZET 1 is the junior version of the Transrotor ZET 3 turntable, one of the manufacturer's most successful developments. This turntable allows for the use of a basic construction with one tonearm, but also features options such as a base for a second tonearm and a dual-motor drive system for the disc (requiring a separate power control unit).
Features:
- Acrylic anti-vibration chassis
- Massive 14kg aluminum platter
- Ability to install other tonearms
- Uccello cartridge
- Rega RB 330 tonearm
- Dual synchronous electric motor with external power supply
- 3 spikes with fine threads for precise adjustment
The base of the ZET 1 is made from a single piece of acrylic (available in black or white). The support platter weighs 14kg including the bearing.
The Transrotor ZET 1 is mounted on a rack using three supports that run through the entire thickness of the table. The steel supports have threads for precise and convenient adjustment of the turntable level. The sharp-pointed support legs come with large polished aluminum footers with silicone rims on the underside.
All other components of the turntable are attached or installed on the acrylic base. The massive aluminum bearing housing with concentric "waves" holds a significant bronze insert cup, while the steel bearing pulley is connected to an aluminum sub-platter. The bearing is not inverted and operates with liquid lubrication.
The main aluminum platter is a solid construction with a substantial weight. The bottom surface of the platter has a wavy texture that positively affects its resonant properties. The platter comes with a standard acrylic mat that is slightly recessed into the thickness but mechanically unattached. It is held in place only by the ribbed surface of the platter and the included aluminum clamp.
The synchronous AC motor is housed in a separate heavy aluminum casing, complemented by a two-stage pulley and an on/off button. In the basic configuration, the belt (thin with a round cross-section and moderate tension) on the motor pulley needs to be manually switched to achieve different speeds. Speed adjustments are not provided, as the motor's accuracy is deemed sufficient. The motor is installed directly on the turntable base, with small silicone damping feet glued underneath to provide vibration isolation.
Uccello Cartridge
The Transrotor Uccello is an MM type cartridge with a high output level and a specially sharpened diamond needle. This unique model from the German manufacturer of high-end audio equipment is based on the Goldring G1000 series but with additional selection specifically for Transrotor. The Transrotor Uccello delivers voluminous sound without boosting high frequencies, providing true listening pleasure.
Package includes:
- Vinyl player
- Uccello cartridge
- Rega RB 330 tonearm
