Two-piece phono preamplifier, fully balanced with a separate power supply unit. Provides extremely accurate amplification for MC cartridges. The power source accumulates current like a rechargeable battery (but without wear) and also delivers power to the phono preamplifier very evenly and quickly. XLR input and output.
Both phono preamplifier units are enclosed in aluminum cases with massive front panels and LED power indicators. The power supply unit has a large power reserve, allowing for even and rapid delivery of power to the phono preamplifier.
Also included is an adjustment for setting the load resistance in the range of 100 to 1000 ohms, allowing for precise matching of the phono preamplifier with the cartridge headshell. The signal-to-noise ratio for the Transrotor Phono 8.2 MC is 68 dB. The gain coefficient for MC cartridges is adjustable and ranges from 8 to 64 dB.
