It not only complements the M80, but also stands out in the world of dynamic microphones, providing an excellent alternative to standard dynamic microphones in the mid-price range. Its unique frequency response and high sound pressure level make the M81 exceptional for miking guitar cabinets, percussion, toms, and brass instruments. Its versatility and reliability make it a workhorse for a new generation of musicians and vocalists.
Building on the features of the M80, the M81 maintains the minimal proximity effect, feedback resistance, and mid-range articulation. However, the M81 has a flatter frequency response in the upper midrange, providing more body and clarity to the sound, making it ideal for bright vocals.
The M80-WH, M80-WHB, and M81-WH are designed to work with Shure Axient, UHF-R, ULX-D, QLX-D, ULX-S, SLX, PG, and PGX wireless transmitters (excluding PGXD). They are not compatible with BLX or GLXD wireless transmitters. Additionally, the M80-WH, M80-WHB, and M81-WH also work well with Lectrosonics and Sony wireless transmitters.
