The ELA M 260 delivers a rich, saturated tone with excellent detail and clarity. It captures sources with a natural presence, making it a fantastic tool for recording acoustic instruments of all kinds. From violin, cello, double bass, drum overheads, percussion, woodwind instruments, saxophones, strings, especially acoustic guitar - the ELA M 260 excels in capturing all nuances. Despite its size, it also performs remarkably well for recording vocals. Its unique tonal character suits a variety of traditional or non-traditional recording techniques.
The ELA M 260 features a new design, incorporating a New Old Stock (NOS) EF732 / 5840W tube and a custom-made TELEFUNKEN T60 output transformer in the USA. This combination results in a small-diaphragm microphone that, while unique, embodies all the best qualities of vintage microphones.

This provides maximum flexibility for various recording scenarios.
