Inspired by professional concert audio systems, Sony has developed a unique line array diffuser that creates a linear source and evenly distributes sound energy in a wide space, filling the room with sound. This allows sound to be spread forward and sideways without loss of quality.

Thanks to the line array diffuser, the sound in front of the speaker extends further, ensuring consistent sound quality in front and on the sides of the speaker. This means that everyone in the room can dance to the same music with the same quality. Unlike a conventional speaker, which focuses most of the energy from the center of the cone, Sony's unique line array diffuser re-concentrates sound through a narrow diaphragm. As a result of increased acoustic pressure, sound is evenly distributed in every direction from the speaker - forward and sideways.
X-Balanced Speaker Unit feature
Unlike ordinary speakers with a circular diaphragm, the XE300's X-Balanced Speaker Unit has a non-circular diaphragm that provides greater acoustic pressure for high-quality sound.
