Linear Diffuser Features
Thanks to the linear diffuser, sound in the area in front of the speaker extends further, ensuring consistent sound quality both in front and to the sides of the speaker. This means that everyone in the room can dance to the same music with the same quality. Unlike a regular speaker that concentrates the majority of its energy from the center of the cone, Sony's unique linear diffuser re-concentrates the sound through a narrow diaphragm. As a result of increased acoustic pressure, sound is evenly projected in all directions from the speaker – forward and sideways.
X-Balanced Speaker Unit Feature
Unlike conventional speakers with circular diaphragms, the XE200's X-Balanced Speaker Unit has a non-circular diaphragm that provides greater acoustic pressure for high-quality sound. The non-circular shape of the speaker increases the membrane area for richer bass reproduction, while also reducing the amplitude of the diffuser's vibrations and preserving acoustic pressure, thereby reducing sound distortion.
