The exterior design of the Duetto reflects Sonus Faber's long-standing philosophy of achieving the most natural sound reproduction through the use of natural materials. The wooden lute-shaped enclosure of the Duetto, combined with an elegant radiator of unique design, ensures rigidity and musicality while avoiding internal resonance, creating the signature "Natural Sound" of Sonus Faber. It also features the SENSO leather interface, allowing users to control and customize speaker functions such as volume, input selection, and connections.
Performance
The Duetto crossover design incorporates four built-in amplifiers and high-quality drivers. This unique configuration delivers unmatched power and clarity in the world of wireless audio, especially in the low frequencies. Each speaker features a dual-cone design with a 0.7-inch silk dome tweeter and a 5.25-inch paper pulp midrange driver. The driver is housed in a new Sonus Faber "organic basket" designed to reduce vibration and air flow noise. Each speaker is powered by a pair of amplifiers - a 100W Class A/B amplifier for the tweeter and a 205W Class D amplifier for the midrange driver - hence the radiators.
Design
The wooden lute-shaped enclosure of the Duetto draws design inspiration from musical instruments. The enclosure, along with the specially designed radiator, ensures tonality and musicality while avoiding internal resonance, thus creating Sonus Faber's signature natural sound.
Connections
The Duetto is designed for both analog and digital worlds. Certified for Wi-Fi, it offers digital connectivity to popular audio streamers like AirPlay, Chromecast, Tidal, Spotify, and Bluetooth. With HDMI and optical inputs, they can easily connect to TVs, players, and active subwoofers. The built-in phono stage allows you to connect a turntable and enjoy your vinyl collection with a new sound! The Duetto features Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology for communication between the two speakers. Wireless transmission eliminates delays and interference from other home networks, ensuring a wide frequency spectrum for high-speed data signal transmission.
SENSE Technology
Inherited from the predecessor Omnia, SENSE features a leather top panel that allows users to control and customize speaker functions such as volume, input selection, and connections. The buttonless interface allows for simple control of playback and connectivity functions with a swipe of a finger.
