The Solid State Logic UF8 is a studio DAW controller.
The UF8 is the next step in the company's product line towards creating ergonomic studio tools for modern producers, sound engineers, and music content creators. The Solid State Logic UF8 is compatible with all modern DAWs.
The controller's appearance provides a "new level of user-oriented design". The marketing wording implies a significant improvement in all work processes in the creation, production, and mixing of music, as noted by the company.
The device is equipped with touch-sensitive faders, "endlessly" rotating knobs, and high-resolution color displays on each of the eight channels. In addition, the controller offers five banks of eight assignable keys and three special quick keys for instant access to any DAW functions.
The UF8 also features a "smart" multi-purpose Channel encoder. This controller can be used with three DAWs simultaneously, with key layouts and control elements stored in the device's memory. Settings management is done through the SSL 360° software. The system supports concurrent operation of up to four UF8 controllers, allowing control of 32 channels at once.
