The company Sennheiser has announced the wireless headphones HDB 630, targeting high-quality sound enthusiasts. The headphones work with Bluetooth 5.2 and also support wired connections via 3.5mm and USB-C. They feature an adaptive active noise cancellation system with a transparency mode for conversations.

Sennheiser HDB 630 inherits the design from the best-selling model - Momentum 4. They are over-ear headphones equipped with large 42mm drivers produced in the company's own plant in Ireland. The sound in the headphones is managed by a high-performance chip processing audio up to 24 bit/96 kHz when connected via USB-C or 3.5mm.

However, the company also thought about the advanced features of Sennheiser HDB 630 when connected wirelessly. The device comes with a proprietary Bluetooth transmitter BTD 700 with a USB-C interface. It supports the aptX Adaptive codec, regardless of the smartphone/laptop/tablet used. This means top-notch sound can be obtained even from the most budget-friendly device.

"As only 16% of smartphones are estimated to support built-in high-resolution wireless audio, the included adapter instantly provides this capability for 80% of smartphone models through the USB Type-C port," Sennheiser reported.

"We aim to create an appealing option for audiophiles who want to maintain the same level of quality they are accustomed to with wired headphones, while enjoying it anywhere. HDB 630 right out of the box offers a truly unique combination of precision and customization capabilities," said Sennheiser's Product Manager Wee Hong Kuan.

According to the manufacturer, the goal of creating the HDB 630 headphones is not only to provide high-quality sound but also to guarantee stable connection in any situation, including multi-point Bluetooth connection. The included transmitter adapts to the surrounding environment - for example, it can reduce the signal resolution in areas with high radio interference to maintain Bluetooth connection stability with minimal loss.

The proprietary Sennheiser Smart Control Plus app provides access to an advanced parametric equalizer and crossfeed function (mixing sound from one channel to another). The equalizer allows for comparing and analyzing changes made, as well as sharing settings with other users via QR code.

The HDB 630 headphones have a closed-back design and ergonomic design, with ear cushions that are claimed to be less prone to fingerprints. The adjustable headband is made of eco-leather and ensures comfort and durability during long listening sessions. The acoustic construction of the installed 42mm drivers in the headphones provides sound reproduction in a frequency range from 6 Hz to 40 kHz.
