sE2300 - this is a new version of the beloved sE2200 microphone. The one that many years ago put the sE Electronics brand on the microphone map of the world, thanks to its superb sound for working not only with vocals, but also with a variety of different instruments. Switchable polar patterns give you the ability to adjust the perfect balance between ambient sound and what is being recorded, allowing you to use this microphone in various conditions. Also noteworthy are the attenuator and low-frequency filter switches.
Polar Pattern Switch
A 3-position switch for polar patterns is located on the back of the microphone, allowing you to switch between omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-eight patterns. This gives you the ability to control the balance between ambient sound and direct sound.
Handcrafted Condenser Capsule
Each capsule is handcrafted and individually tuned at sE's factory in Shanghai - and unlike other microphones with backplates or electret designs, the sE2300 has an external polarized condenser capsule, therefore providing optimal performance in all aspects.
Traditional Class-A Electronic Design
Two switchable attenuator levels and low-frequency filters
The sE2300 microphone has -10 dB and -20 dB switches, providing an extended dynamic range, allowing for various applications and even the loudest instruments such as heavy electric guitars, brass instruments, and drums. The SE2200 has two switchable low-frequency filters (80 Hz or 160 Hz) that help eliminate unwanted hum and noise, as well as compensate for excessive bass (proximity effect) when the microphone is placed close. Reviving the spirit of classic studio microphones, the shielded transformer in the sE2300 provides superior depth and weight for a full acoustic picture.
All-metal body and premium finish
Unlike the cheap bodies of some other "entry-level" microphones, the solid metal body of the SE2300 provides effective suppression of any electrical interference and noise, and the high-quality finish will delight with a great appearance for years to come. The SE2300 has a gold-plated XLR connector, providing reliable signal connection for many years. In case additional protection from external noise and vibrations is required, the package includes an Isolation Pack, which includes a metal pop filter and a spider-type holder. The holder features a unique microphone clamp design, ensuring secure fixation and easy adjustment of the SE2300. It also has a slot for mounting the pop filter, which in turn is a metal slatted screen. The filter eliminates any ultra-low frequencies, leaving vocals untouched, and because it is made of metal, it is more durable compared to regular fabric filters. Thanks to high production standards and sturdy metal body construction, the microphone reliably performs even in the most challenging conditions!
