TtSE2200 - SE2200a II Microphone
The TtSE2200 is an updated version of the SE2200a II microphone, known for its quality, smooth and clean sound for recording vocals and instruments, voiceovers, and various instrumental applications. Renowned for being used by world-class vocalists such as Amy Winehouse, the SE2200 brings back the classic studio microphone spirit and continues to be a standard worldwide.
With a respected reputation, the SE has remained true to the original design of a large diaphragm capsule, shielded transformer, and Class A circuitry (no integrated circuits!). The microphone provides excellent sound quality, extremely low noise levels, and a smooth, well-balanced frequency response, making it a favorite among engineers.
Modern components and a shorter, optimized signal path deliver even better performance and clarity. Switchable attenuator and low-frequency filter increase its versatility. The fitting and finish have been updated with the latest SE technologies, while maintaining the classic sound of the original.
Handcrafted Condenser Capsule
Despite the SE2200 being a cardioid microphone, two gold-sputtered diaphragms are used for the best acoustic characteristics. Each capsule is handcrafted and individually tuned at the sE factory in Shanghai. Unlike other microphones with a backplate or electret design, the SE2200 features an externally polarized condenser capsule, providing the best performance in all aspects.

Two Switchable Attenuation Levels and Low-Cut Filters
The SE2200 microphone features -10 dB and -20 dB switches for an extended dynamic range, allowing for various applications and even the loudest instruments. It also has two switchable low-frequency filters (80 Hz or 160 Hz) to eliminate unwanted rumble and noise and compensate for excessive bass when the microphone is placed close to the source.
Shielded Transformer and Premium Finish
The shielded transformer in the SE2200 provides exceptional depth and full acoustic character. The solid all-metal body ensures effective suppression of any electrical interference and noise, with a high-quality finish for a lasting appearance.
