RME M-32 AD Pro II-D — This 32-channel High-End AD converter with AVB support, certified MILAN, is designed for the most demanding professional audio applications. It provides sound conversion with exceptional precision and transparency, offering 24-bit / 192 KHz quality and fully balanced circuitry. This converter is ideal for large-scale recording studios, broadcast centers, and concert venues where a maximum number of high-quality analog inputs integrated into modern AVB and MADI audio network systems is required.
The M-32 Pro II series is designed to meet the high demands of professional studios, immersive sound installations, live sound systems, and industrial applications requiring a reliable solution for analog conversion using high-quality network audio processing. These new converters are available with 32 analog inputs or outputs, as well as with Dante or AVB for a choice of four different models.
The new M-32 Pro II series, equipped with a 32-channel MADI I/O interface (coaxial and optical using an additional SPF module), improved features with extremely low THD values, intelligent channel routing, and innovative ease of use truly meets modern requirements for exceptional sound performance.
Ideal solution for high-quality network audio processing
The latest 32-channel M-32 Pro II is based on the most advanced high-resolution converter components and a fully balanced analog circuit that provides a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB (A) with very low latency, making the converters a benchmark in their class. While the M-32 AD Pro II provides the same outstanding analog characteristics as its predecessor, the DA converter has even improved THD +N to -111 dB. All models benefit from optimizing the impulse response characteristic at sampling frequencies above 88.2 kHz, minimizing signal distortion during conversion.
AVB Technology - 2 fully redundant network ports
In addition to two MADI I/O interfaces with separate signal routing, the new M-32 DA Pro II and M-32 AD Pro II are equipped with an AVB interface based on open IEEE 802.1 and 1722.1 network standards, allowing you to transmit 32 analog channels with a maximum sampling frequency of 192 kHz through a single Ethernet cable. Combined with AVB external switches, the new M-series converters can be quickly, easily, and reliably integrated into more complex network structures thanks to comprehensive time-synchronous signal processing via the AVB protocol. Overall, up to 128 audio channels can be transmitted and received via AVB with a frequency of 48 kHz (96 @ 96k, 64 @ 192k) in all streams.
Dante interface with two fully redundant network ports
The M-32 AD Pro II-D is equipped with two fully redundant Dante network ports and integrates the Audinate Dante IP core on a specially designed RME FPGA platform to increase flexibility. Users can connect up to 64 audio channels from their computer to any of the M-32 input-output analog and digital devices using the Dante Virtual Soundcard software (license sold separately). This Dante model includes a network switch mode for connecting multiple devices together via the 2nd port.
Analog-level performance
To ensure maximum compatibility with a variety of analog equipment, the individual channels of the M-32 AD Pro II and M-32 DA Pro II can operate at different line levels - each with the full resolution of the converters. In addition to +19 dBu and +13 dBu, the new M-series is one of the few available solutions on the market that also allows for operation with the SMPTE +24 dBu recommendation at 0 dBFS.
