RME M-1620 Pro — 16-channel ADC/20-channel DAC converter with support for MADI and ADAT, adjustable levels up to +24dBu, dual network ports with redundancy, SteadyClock FS technology, and 2 headphone outputs, all enclosed in a compact 1U housing for standalone operation and flexible routing.
The innovative RME M-1620 Pro device offers a universal solution for converting 16 analog linear signals (adjustable level up to +24 dBu per channel) into digital streams of MADI, ADAT, and vice versa. The compact 1U housing combines advanced ADC/DAC, 2 independent headphone outputs, LED level indicators, and an informative display for full signal control.
The device is equipped with a built-in redundancy system with dual network and MADI connections, as well as monitoring of the DC input in addition to the main AC power. The Stand-Alone function allows for adjusting all parameters directly from the front panel or loading user presets.
The system's flexibility is highlighted by manual adjustment of anti-aliasing filters for optimal impulse and frequency response, as well as SteadyClock FS technology for jitter suppression. Separate Word Clock and MADI connectors (coaxial + optional optical via SFP) ensure easy integration into existing infrastructure.
Control is done through the intuitive front panel, web interface via Wi-Fi or USB, as well as through JSON API and MIDI SysEx commands. The built-in routing matrix allows for flexible distribution of signals between all analog and digital interfaces.
