The Digiface Ravenna is a lightweight, portable audio interface based on the well-established Digiface Dante model. It comes equipped with a Ravenna data transmission module developed by DirectOut, and offers all the features that RME devices of this type are known for: USB 3.0 connectivity, MADI, TotalMix FX mixer, and an exceptional set of functions - both when connected via USB and in standalone mode (as a mobile RAVENNA/MADI converter).
Flexible portable solution for RAVENNA technology with USB connectivity
The Digiface Ravenna is a reliable and flexible network computer audio interface based on RME's renowned high-quality drivers (for Mac/Windows) and a DirectOut Ravenna audio signal transmission module. With the latest version of TotalMix FX, it not only routes signals but also provides a wealth of independent submixes - according to the available outputs. Additionally, the Digiface Ravenna features a high-quality headphone jack for quick monitoring of any audio channel - which can also be used as an additional analog stereo line-level output.
RAVENNA and MADI
RME has equipped its new audio interface with two BNC connectors for Word Clock input/output, with the ability to switch to MADI mode for up to 64 channels. In total, the interface supports up to 128 channels of Ravenna and MADI, transmitted via USB 3.0 and processed through RAVENNA's web server or RME's TotalMix FX, allowing for easy management of all audio streams. Data transmission is carried out via the RAVENNA protocol with AES67 and ST2110-30/31 support, as well as redundant audio stream transmission over IP (AoIP) according to ST2022-7. The coaxial MADI input/output connectors can also be used as Word Clock input/output.
TotalMix FX and TotalMix Remote
Like all the latest RME interface models, the Digiface series is equipped with the powerful digital mixer TotalMix FX. It offers virtually unlimited mixing and routing capabilities for all inputs and playback channels simultaneously to any hardware outputs. Additionally, TotalMix FX features a Control Room section with Talkback, Main/Phones, fader groups, mute groups, full remote control via Mackie or OSC protocol, and more. However, the Digiface series does not support DSP-based effects such as equalization or reverb.
TotalMix Remote control
The RME TotalMix Remote application allows for remote control of TotalMix FX via iOS, PC, or Mac. Connecting TotalMix Remote is simple: just enter the IP address of the computer you want to control and you're ready to go. TotalMix Remote enables control over all aspects of TotalMix FX on the host system, allowing for studio work from a tablet.
