RME ADI-2 DAC FS
The RME ADI-2 DAC FS is a two-channel DAC and headphone amplifier. With a bit depth of up to 32 bits and a sampling frequency of up to 758 kHz, the device provides a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dBA. Reference-level specifications are combined with a wide range of features. A powerful DSP adds all necessary types of audio processing, including a 5-band parametric equalizer, quick adjustment of high and low frequencies, crossfeed channel interpenetration adjustment, and a new volume control concept.
A large high-resolution display, three push encoders, and four buttons provide quick access to the settings menu and allow for easy adjustment. The device automatically saves current settings and allows you to save up to 9 presets. It features a graphical display of level indicators, a 30-band analyzer, and the current status of SPDIF, USB, and Clock.
There are optical and coaxial SPDIF connections. The optical connection supports ADAT (2 channels) with a sampling frequency of up to 192 kHz. The USB interface UAC-2 provides a sampling frequency of up to 768 kHz with an iPad. The same performance is possible with a computer for PCM, DXD, and DSD up to 768 kHz/DSD256. The converter is equipped with XLR and RCA analog outputs. Steady Clock FS ensures exceptional sound quality in any synchronization mode. The remote control allows you to operate the device from your listening position.
The RME ADI-2 DAC FS features two headphone outputs: a 3.5mm jack for high-sensitivity in-ear monitors and a 6.3mm Extreme Power socket for stereo headphones. The front panel of the housing integrates an IPS display, which, in addition to standard symbols, can display signal levels and spectrograms, the colors of which can be chosen to your preference. There is a useful AutoDark function that turns off the display and DAC backlight after 10 seconds of inactivity.
The device has balanced and unbalanced analog outputs. There are S/PDIF inputs: coaxial and optical, supporting the ADAT standard in a 2-channel variant. The RME ADI-2 DAC FS has an asynchronous USB port that accepts audio formats at the highest available resolution. An external adapter is used as the power supply. You can even connect an external battery to the power connector, which will positively impact sound quality. A new 22-button remote control is provided for DAC control.
