The Polk Audio V60 Slim ceiling speaker has a reduced mounting depth compared to the standard version, significantly expanding placement possibilities. The speaker has an attractive appearance, defined in this case by its protective grill (actually, the only visible element of the built-in speaker after installation).
Included with the Polk Audio V60 Slim is a round grill, matching its front panel shape, however, for this speaker, a square grill can also be purchased additionally. If the room where the Polk Audio V60 Slim is planned to be installed already has ceiling engineering systems with output grills of this shape, such a solution may be preferable.
The Polk Audio V60 Slim has a classic two-way configuration with coaxial driver placement to reduce the area of the front panel and align the directivity pattern. The low-frequency driver in the speaker is equipped with a 6.5-inch woofer with a composite polymer diaphragm - lightweight and rigid, free from parasitic vibrations.
The diaphragm suspension is made of butyl rubber, allowing it to have high strength with good elasticity. In the center of the low-frequency driver, there is a tweeter with a soft textile dome with a diameter of 0.75 inches. The high-frequency driver holder allows it to be rotated in the desired direction. Both drivers are manufactured using the patented Dynamic Balance technology, providing increased sound output, working in an extended frequency range, and not creating audible distortions even at high volumes.
The crossover filter in the Polk Audio V60 Slim is made of reliable components in a simple scheme, and its tuning is done in a way that the tonal balance of the speaker matches other company speakers as closely as possible. This speaker system is an excellent choice for creating multi-room systems in cases where quality sound is needed without taking up living space.
