Flagship Turbine Technology Woofer
Polk has designed this woofer specifically for their flagship products to provide natural reproduction of the midrange, where human ears are most sensitive. The woofer core is made of Polk's proprietary foam polymer, with special asymmetric geometry that significantly increases rigidity and damping without adding mass. You'll hear every detail and feel the smooth, detailed midrange and light bass.
Power Port 2.0
The latest development in Polk's Power Port technology, Power Port 2.0 is the newest version of the successful Power Port phase inverter. In addition to the carefully designed construction that directs airflow out of the enclosure through the phase inverter, X-Port adds a set of closed tube absorbers specially tuned to unwanted resonances of the enclosure and phase inverter. Combined with two 8-inch woofers, you'll get more powerful and clean bass with minimal port turbulence and noise.
Premium Cabinets for Better Performance
Polk believes that cabinets should be beautiful without affecting sound quality. The Reserve series cabinets, braces, and internal parts are carefully designed to minimize unwanted internal standing waves and eliminate resonances. Developed with a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV), advanced precision two-point partitions with individual enclosures for midrange and woofer drivers, and new cabinet resonance control (CRC), these speakers eliminate unwanted resonances in the cabinets for pure and accurate sound reproduction.
Compatibility with Upper Module
These speakers can be used in any home theater as front, rear, or side speakers. For full immersion, add upper channel sound using the compatible R900 module (sold separately).
