The Polk Audio Atrium Sub 100 is a landscape subwoofer with an original shape that allows it to easily blend into the natural environment, featuring a terracotta finish. Additionally, the subwoofer can be painted in any other color if desired.
The Polk Audio Atrium Sub 100 is built in a durable sealed enclosure made of synthetic resin, resistant to adverse natural elements and mechanical stress. The flat top surface allows the subwoofer to be used, for example, as a stand for indoor plants when placed on a terrace.
The subwoofer is equipped with a 10-inch low-frequency driver mounted on the bottom of the enclosure and facing downward. The woofer is built using the patented Dynamic Balance technology, which eliminates sound distortion even at high volume levels. Its composite material diaphragm makes it resistant to high humidity. The diaphragm surround is made of butyl rubber, providing excellent elasticity and mechanical strength.
The low-frequency driver has two voice coils, allowing it to be connected to a stereo amplifier without additional switching. The capacitive coupling technology and built-in crossover prevent the subwoofer from being overloaded with a signal beyond its frequency range. The subwoofer comes with a 4-wire cable, 1 meter long, designed to be buried directly in the ground for connection to the amplifier.
