The Polk Audio VS 265-RT is an in-wall three-way speaker from the Vanishing Series, designed to be discreet once installed. It is fully compatible with other RTiA series speakers, making it ideal for building a multi-channel system.
The 6.5" woofers and mid-range drivers of the Polk Audio VS 265-RT feature durable lightweight polypropylene cones with mineral-filled reinforcements. At the bottom, there is a proprietary Power Port with a flow diffuser that eliminates turbulence and enhances low-frequency performance.
Included in the package is a foam insert plug that can be used to reduce bass output when needed. The speaker is enclosed in a black housing with an acoustically transparent white grille with ultra-small perforations and a magnetic attachment for easy customization to match your interior.
The Polk Audio VS 265-RT is equipped with two filters, which can be adjusted using buttons on the front of the speaker. These filters work in a narrow band to compensate for room characteristics affecting sound quality. One filter reduces ringing by adjusting the tweeter level in the 4-5 kHz range to counteract reflections from room surfaces.
The tweeter can be rotated up to 15 degrees, allowing for greater control over high frequencies and flexibility in speaker placement. The built-in crossover further enhances performance. The second filter is activated to prevent boomy sound when the speaker is placed too close to walls, ensuring optimal sound without sacrificing deep bass.
