The Polk Audio VS255 C RT is built on a chassis made of modern polymer material that is resistant to resonances and mechanical stresses. After installation, the speaker can be discreetly covered with a flat protective grille that can be painted to match any interior decor.
This speaker can be placed above or below flat-panel TVs, as well as next to or behind projection screens (note that an acoustically transparent fabric is required for the latter). Since the Polk Audio VS255 C RT sits nearly flush with the wall, screens can be placed close to it using both stationary and motorized mounts.
The VS255 C RT features two 5.25-inch low-frequency drivers with a 1-inch silk dome tweeter positioned between them. The bass drivers are equipped with polypropylene and composite diffusers mounted on reliable butyl rubber surrounds.
The tweeter and low-frequency drivers are designed using the patented Dynamic Balance technology to reproduce sound across a wide frequency range with impactful presence and minimal distortion. The bass drivers are enhanced with the patented Power Port phase inverter, which operates efficiently without introducing acoustic noise.
