The PMC 8-2 SUB is a true low-frequency monitor, just like the PMC8 SUB. Equipped with the same DSP processor and easily integrated with surround sound and immersive systems, the PMC 8-2 SUB outperforms its younger sibling, delivering a higher maximum SPL power down to 25 Hz.
Despite having the same dimensions as the PMC 8-2 midfield monitor, the two eight-inch low-frequency drivers in the PMC 8-2 SUB are powered by independent Class D amplifiers with 400W of power. The same tuning parameters as the PMC8 SUB are available on the rear panel of the speaker or through the SoundAlign browser-based software when connected to a tablet, smartphone, or computer on the local network.
The PMC 8-2 subwoofer can be used as a standalone subwoofer for multi-channel and immersive audio systems or as an XBD enclosure with PMC 6-2 or PMC 8-2 s, creating a system with stunning power and dynamic range. The subwoofer is available in both left-hand and right-hand versions (PMC 8-2 SUB-L or PMC 8-2 SUB-R), allowing the low-frequency drivers to be placed on the outer edges of the stereo system according to the positioning of the main monitors.
