The PMC15 SUB subwoofer is designed to complement any PMC monitoring system as an independent low-frequency subwoofer. The PMC15 subwoofer is equipped with the same ATL Advanced Transmission Line enclosure of the latest generation with LaminairX ventilation system as the full-function PMC15 monitor, but without the tweeter and mid-range drivers of this model. The innovative 15-inch bass driver, custom-designed and manufactured, has a wide frequency range, providing improved low-frequency characteristics usually found in much larger enclosures and 18-inch drivers.
The speaker is controlled and powered by the rack-mountable Master36 DSP/amplifier from PMC, which uses ultra-transparent class D amplification to deliver 1000W to the low-frequency driver. The built-in DSP provides precise digital high and low pass filters, optimized for the specially designed PMC15 SUB low-frequency driver, as well as transparent excursion limiting for system protection and a comprehensive equalizer for room optimization. The system accepts both analog and digital inputs and can be controlled via a standard local network through the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface.
Where greater power and excursion are needed, a second PMC15 subwoofer can be connected in series and powered by the same Master36 amplifier with a total power of 2000W.
