PMC 12 SUB XBD is a sophisticated 12-inch low-frequency enclosure designed as the foundation for the most compact systems in the new series of flagship monitors (such as PMC12 XBD). Despite its smaller size, this module delivers powerful, reference-level bass, serving as a crucial addition to main monitors in small and medium studios. At its core is the new 12-inch (304 mm) Radial bass driver from PMC, which, thanks to its optimized voice coil and assembly engine, provides exceptional speed, accuracy in transient response, and deep extension necessary for professional monitoring.
The subwoofer features the legendary Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) technology, which, combined with the innovative LaminairX ventilation system, eliminates turbulent air noise and ensures linear low-frequency response even at high volume levels. The module is fully integrated into the PMC digital control ecosystem, equipped with an efficient class D amplifier, and operated using the advanced SoundAlign2 interface. In the XBD configuration, adding this module increases the system's maximum noise level by 3 dB and significantly increases headroom, providing full dynamic performance in demanding stereo systems and Dolby Atmos applications.
Where greater power in bass and excursion is required, a second PMC12 subwoofer can be connected in series and powered by the same Master36 with a total power of 2000W.
