The PMC12 SUB subwoofer is designed to complement any PMC monitoring system as an independent low-frequency subwoofer. The PMC12 subwoofer is equipped with the same ATL Advanced Transmission Line enclosure of the latest generation with LaminairX ventilation system as the full-featured PMC12 monitor, but without the tweeter and mid-range drivers of this model. The innovative 12-inch bass driver of proprietary design, manufactured on a custom order basis, has a wide frequency range, providing improved low-frequency characteristics typically found in much larger enclosures and 15-inch drivers.
The speaker is controlled and powered by the rack-mountable DSP/amplifier Master36 from PMC, which utilizes ultra-transparent class D amplification to deliver 1000 watts to the low-frequency driver. The built-in DSP provides high-precision digital filters for high and low frequencies, optimized for the specially designed PMC12 SUB low-frequency driver, as well as transparent excursion limiting for system protection and a comprehensive equalizer for room optimization. The system accepts both analog and digital inputs and can be controlled over a standard local network via the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface.
Where high LF power and excursion are required, a second PMC12 subwoofer can be connected in series and powered by the same Master36 with a total power of 2000 watts.
