Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol A61
The Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol A61 is a portable MIDI keyboard belonging to the Komplete Kontrol series, which includes devices for advanced control of sound software parameters (DAW) or for controlling virtual synthesizers. It is compatible with programs such as NI Maschine, Logic Pro X, Garage Band, Nuendo, Ableton Live, and Cubase. This keyboard can be used for both studio work and live performances. It is fully compatible with Windows and macOS operating systems (only 64-bit supported).
Featuring a semi-weighted 61-key keyboard with velocity sensitivity, it can also operate in one of the various Smart Strip modes, allowing notes to be played only within a preset scale. For controlling DAW functionality and various software synthesizers and other software, there are 19 buttons and 1 encoder. They perform functions such as record enable/disable, navigation, quantization, octave shifting, and many others. There are also 8 rotary knobs for controlling parameters such as filters, envelopes, effects buses, and more. An expression pedal can be connected using the 1/4'' Jack TRS input (pedal sold separately). Additionally, there are 2 wheels for pitch bend and modulation control. Power and connection to the computer are done via the USB-B port.
By activating the devices on the Native Instruments website, you gain access to a large amount of accompanying software that will be very useful for creating, performing, and mixing music. Included are the Komplete Kontrol plugin and instrument library, Maschine Essentials and Ableton Live 10 Lite software, as well as a large set of plugins including The Gentleman, Monark, Reaktor Prism, and Scarbee Mark I. It also supports compatibility with the Traktor Kontrol DJ software. Therefore, full music production at home and live performances can only be done with this keyboard and a computer. The model is housed in a durable case to protect against damage during use.
