Connecting the CS1 to your home network, via Wi-fi or the available Ethernet port, will produce the best quality audio with access to streaming services, like Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon as well as your own networked music collection. A network connection also allows you to play back via Airplay 2 or Chromecast for convenience. A Texas Instruments PCM5142 DAC feeds the analog RCA output, or you can connect to an external DAC with MQA passthrough support via Optical and digital coax outputs.

There are a multitude of ways to play music through the CS1 Endpoint Network Streamer. To begin with, you can use Bluetooth to pair the CS1 with a smartphone, tablet, or computer. The CS1 is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles: A2DP 1.2, AVRCP 1.3, SPP, HFP, HSP, HOGP. You’ll get even better sound via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, with several options. You can use AirPlay 2 to stream CD-resolution audio from any app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or from an iTunes library on a Windows PC. You can use Google Chromecast to cast music to the CS1 from any Cast-enabled app on a mobile device or personal computer, at up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Spotify and Tidal subscribers can cue up music in the apps for those services, then easily transfer playbackt o the CS1. Additionally, Roon subscribers can play music from their digital libraries and from streaming services supported by Roon.

Employing premium components throughout, the CS1 features an advanced differential digital section based on Texas Instruments PCM5142, a chip known for its extremely low noise, excellent dynamic performance, and immunity to clock jitter. It supports resolution up to 24-bit/192kHz and has MQA pass-through support for both digital outputs, enabling full MQA decoding and rendering by a compatible external DAC for playing Master Quality Authenticated music.
Well Connected
You can connect the CS1 to your home network via Wi-Fi or hardwire its Ethernet port to your network router or an access point. The CS1 has a pair of RCA line-level analog outputs for connection to a stereo receiver, integrated amp, preamplifier, or a pair of powered speakers. Alternatively, you can use the CS1’s optical or coaxial output to send digital audio at up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution to powered loudspeakers with digital inputs, or to a home-theater receiver or external DAC.
