The NAD C568 is a new CD player from the renowned Canadian manufacturer NAD, which is an improved model of its predecessor, the C565 BEE, well known and awarded by experts. These players feature external cosmetic changes and a redesigned circuit with new premium components.
Design and Construction
The NAD C568 players have an elegant and modern look with a sleek design. They are housed in a slim aluminum casing mounted on a sturdy anti-resonant chassis. The front panel includes a traditional transport tray, a small display, a power button, main control buttons (including a large volume control knob), and a 6.3mm headphone jack. The main connectivity ports are located on the back panel.
CD Playback
All the changes in the NAD C568 players are related to preparing the devices for playing high-resolution music files. Key improvements include the use of a new high-precision clock generator to minimize jitter. These players are designed to play regular CDs and CD-R/RW discs, with the ability to decode MP3/WMA formats up to 10 hours. Additional features include the ability to repeat whole discs, tracks, or specific segments, and to program a playback sequence with memory for 40 tracks. Most functions can be accessed using the remote control.
DAC
The player's circuitry is equipped with a Wolfson DAC chip and select operational amplifiers. These enhancements have significantly improved and extended the low-frequency range, enhancing the scale and depth of the sound while maintaining tonal accuracy.
Connection
The presence of a USB port allows the NAD C568 players to play music from an external source at a speed of 384 Kbit/s. The back panel also features analog RCA outputs, optical and coaxial digital outputs for connecting external DACs. The player's power supply is characterized by separate circuits for analog and digital blocks.
